Kavka carriers are best washed by hand at temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius. Do not tumble dry or expose to direct sunlight. It's best to wash the carrier with a mild detergent – you can use the same liquid or powder you use for washing baby clothes.
If you decide to wash the carrier in the washing machine, select the most delicate cycle, fasten all buckles, and place the carrier in a laundry bag. Add some extra laundry detergent to prevent the plastic parts from scratching the drum. Do not use temperatures higher than 30 degrees Celsius and use a gentle spin cycle. Do not use fabric softener.
Hang the carrier by the straps to dry, preferably fastening them with clothespins.
Store and transport the carrier with the buckles fastened, folding it so that the buckles are hidden inside the panel.
If the carrier gets stained, wash it immediately with water. Food residue can be removed with a sponge. You can use soap, but avoid stain removers and bleach.
